My name is Jordan Schwanz, and I started Harbor City Plumbing with my business partner in September 2009. Prior to founding the business, I was laid off from another plumbing company, which was founded by my great-grandfather. At the time, I was 26, recently married and didn't know what to do.

Our company has experienced steady growth since it started in a shed, at a storage facility, that my business partner owned down the road from our current location. Since the company began, it has grown from a one-man show to now having 9 employees.

In the spring of 2019, we added to the company's services by launching an excavation business called Mile Rock Site Solutions to provide basement excavation, septic system installation & design and sewer and water installation & repair. Our big push was to get to outside plumbing, which is septic systems and holding tanks.

I also have a third business, Harbor City Sportfishing, which I started in 2013 with a local real estate agent/friend. We do about 100 trips per year.
